PTSD
After experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event, people may respond in many different ways. Common reactions can include feelings of anxiety, sadness, or anger, as well as difficulty sleeping or concentrating and frequent thoughts or memories about the event. Most people recover from these reactions over time, and symptoms generally become less intense as they heal.
When these symptoms continue for a prolonged period and begin to affect daily life, including relationships, work, or other activities, a person may develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Someone experiencing PTSD may continue to feel fearful, stressed, or on edge even when they are no longer in danger. We are here to help you heal.
